FISHBONED STORIES

The series of the watercolours Fishboned stories has been inspired by Boleslaw Lesmian’s poetry. Lesmian was one of the most known and influential polish poets of the early 20th century. In his work imagination and reality coexists within one, common reality.  That is rather the hidden, “camouflaged” interior of the landscape than its visible, physical structure that proves to be  a subject of the paintings. The "spirits" of the places are symbolized by figures of birds and animals or their remainings - corps and bones hidden in the thicket.
